Discover Our Amazing Creatures

Meet thousands of creatures and explore over 280 species

Oceans comprise over 70% of the earth and are essential to its ecology. One way to build children's empathy towards the marine environment is by teaching them the importance of protecting sea animals, and what better way than at SEA LIFE Grapevine Aquarium? SEA LIFE Grapevine Aquarium is an AZA-accredited aquarium located at the Grapevine Mills Mall in Grapevine.

Upon entry, you'll notice brightly painted murals leading you to a circuit with multiple exhibit rooms. Each exhibit holds sea life animals that would typically live in the same habitat, and you can read the list of inhabitants in each tank on our computer monitors.

Our attraction welcomes people of all ages; adults can enter without children. Children aged 16 and under must be in the company of an adult to enter. With over 5000 sea life animals, SEA LIFE Grapevine is a must-visit. Let's highlight some of the sea life animals you'll see once you and the family get hold of our attraction tickets.

Sea Turtles

Sharks

Stingrays

Jellies

Flashlight Fish

Check out seahorses in the seahorse temple, a Mayan-themed exhibit with two wall tanks and a curved window tank. Our AZA-compliant attraction runs a seahorse breeding program that ensures we never house wildly caught seahorses. Learn fun facts about these sea life animals, such as that the male seahorses give birth and carry the young in their pouches. You'll notice that the young seahorses have a distinct pink color compared to the brownish seen in older seahorses.

See if you can find Nemo in the clownfish cave, a column tank with clownfish and other tropical fish. Look out for the anemones, sedentary sea creatures that look like flowers. Visit the dinosaur dive, a desert-like cave, to see a giant pacific octopus. You can also view these breathtaking creatures at the Shipwrecked Exhibit, where Carmen, the famous octopus, will say hi, and if you get lucky, you might see her folding her tentacles and camouflaging herself to search for food. Other sea life animals to explore are guitarfish, piranha, caiman, and a reticulated albino python.
