ZONE

Combining active, hands-on learning with fascinating educational talks and an opportunity to have an up close and personal view into our amazing aquatic world, a visit to SEA LIFE London Aquarium is an educational experience like no other.

We have something fun and inspirational for all ages!

In addition to our amazing aquarium experience, we work closely with schools to develop information that engages and inspires young people. Self-Guided Tours and Workshops for schools are available at most sites, and we give daily creature presentations. From Shark Mission to the Art Aquarium, our multimedia experiences are designed to fire the minds of visitors who want to dive deeper into the world of the marine creatures they meet.

If you’re hungry for more, many of our sites offer Behind the Scenes tours, where our expert staff will fill you in on the daily diet of sharks, and the breeding habits of seahorses! And throughout the year, we host a program of fun events, like Turtle Fest and Shark Week, to raise awareness of marine conservation issues and threats to our sea creatures.

Workshops for Early Years

Who In The Sea Could The Best Creature Be?

Our Early Years Programme gives young children a fun and memorable experience that helps them to ‘understand the world’ - one of the four learning and development requirements of the DfE Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage.

This interactive session uses live performance to introduce children to some amazing undersea creatures such as sharks and turtles. The performance includes fun activities for your class to partake in and help their favourite undersea creatures to discover the ocean.

Workshops for Primary School

Key Stage 1 and 2

Our Primary School Programme is perfect for introducing pupils to a range of scientific topics and encouraging excitement and curiosity about marine phenomena in the natural world. It has been designed to support several core elements of the National Curriculum for Key Stages 1 and 2.

Undersea Britain

Meet some animals from British waters and learn about the habitats surrounding our coastlines and the adaptations needed to survive there, then get hands on with some classification skills.

Key Stage 1 Commotion in the Ocean

Adding a 30 minute Commotion in the Ocean workshop is the perfect way to introduce marine life to your curriculum. They are led by our Education Team and include a mixture of games, hands on activities and group discussion.
