Location & Parking

Where is SEA LIFE Minnesota Aquarium located?

SEA LIFE Minnesota is located on the East side, level one at the Mall of America - 120 East Broadway, Bloomington, MN 55425


Where should I park?

The best place to park is level one on the East side of the mall between LL Bean and Sears. The entrance to SEA LIFE Minnesota Aquarium is on the first floor next to the Rotunda.


Is SEA LIFE Minnesota Aquarium difficult to find if I don’t park on the east side?

No. Walk to the East side of Mall of America, and if you are on the 2nd, 3rd or 4th levels simply take the East elevators/escalators down to level one. SEA LIFE Minnesota Aquarium has very prominent signage to greet you upon your arrival.

I purchased the Saver Admission ticket, but now I can't make it exactly at the check-in time I selected. What should I do?

If you miss your check-in time slot, the ticket can still be used that day, but your wait may be longer to get in.


Is SEA LIFE Minnesota Aquarium wheelchair and stroller accessible?

Yes. You may access our General Admission ticketing level by elevator located on the first floor near our main entrance and Level One Box Office.


Do you have any special events coming up?

If we have special events at the aquarium, they will be posted online. Please visit our “Events & Promotions” section of our website under the Tickets tab.


What will I see when I visit SEA LIFE Minnesota Aquarium?

You will be amazed by the wide variety of fish we have in our 1.3 million gallon aquarium! With thousands of sea creatures, you will see everything from freshwater Stingrays and four-foot Alligator Gar to 350-pound Sea Turtles and 9 foot Jellyfish and Seahorses as well! Get close to the creatures at our new Pacific Northwest Rockpool and Stingray Adventure - you can touch the animals at both exhibits!


I'm a member. Do the guests that come with me receive a discount?

Yes - any guest that comes with you receives 50% off admission (subject to change).


Schools & Groups FAQ

Where should we park/drop off students?

All buses should drop off students at the North entrance. Buses will also park at the North entrance.


How many chaperones are included per group?

One free chaperone is allowed per five (5) students for classroom programs. Teachers are included when determining the number of chaperones. Additional chaperones will be charged an admission fee. Advanced reservations are required. SEA LIFE Minnesota reserves the right to request that chaperones remain in the exhibit area if classrooms have too many participants.


What if someone in our group has special needs?

To ensure the best possible experience, please call in advance to make arrangements for children with special needs. The aquarium is wheelchair accessible.


Is there a space available for our group to eat lunch?

SEA LIFE Minnesota Aquarium does not have an on-site lunch area for your students. We would be happy to store your lunches in a designated area during your group’s adventure. Many groups choose to eat their bagged lunches in on of the Mall of America food courts.


How do I book a field trip or group trip?

To make reservations, please call us at 952.853.0631. Reservations must be made in advance, we request 2-4 weeks advanced notice. Non-public schools must provide a copy of tax exempt forms to the Group Sales Office at the time of booking.


When is my payment due?

Payment is due in full two weeks in advance. We do not accept purchase orders.


What materials will I receive after I book the field trip?

Once you’ve made your reservation, we will mail you a confirmation letter, invoice, directions, bus parking information and other related information to make your visit easy and enjoyable. Please return your signed contract within one week of receiving it.


What if our group is running late?

If a group is more than 15 minutes late, SEA LIFE Minnesota reserves the right to cancel a classroom program and retain payment.


What is your cancellation policy?

If you decide to cancel your education program or reduce the number of attendees, we require at least two weeks notice. We are unable to refund tour and program fees if you have fewer attendees than the number reserved. Schools reserve the right to reschedule visits due to inclement weather and SEA LIFE Minnesota reserves the right to cancel classes at any time.
